Sat., 8/15—Colonial Open House @ the Josiah Dennis Manse, 10 AM-4 PM, 77 Nobscussett Rd., Dennis. Open hearth cooking, pie-making & spinning. Children’s games and more. Walk through gardens. Refreshments will be served.

Sat., 8/15—FAMILY NIGHT OUT,W.Dennis Beach, 4:30-10 PM—BON FIRE, 4:30 PM until after fireworks show. Toast Marshmallows.—AMVETS Post 333 Ceremony, 6:30 PM.—TWENTY-EIGHT BAND, 6-10 PM.—FIREWORKS, at DUSK – Presented by the Atlas PryoVision Productions Co. **Free SHUTTLE BUS from Ezra H. Baker School, lower parking lot on Rte 28, West Dennis, from 4:30 on, Provided by First Student Inc.

Sun., 8/16—ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR, 10 AM-4 PM, at Ezra H. Baker School in West Dennis. Artists, Crafters, and Food Vendors (Hot Dogs; Sausage/ Peppers/ Onions; Ice Cream; Drinks, and more), Children’s Activities, and more. Plenty of parking in lower lot this year.

Sun., 8/16—51st ANTIQUE CAR MOTORCADE and DISPLAY, Starts at West Dennis Beach at 12 Noon, travels through Dennisport, back Upper County Rd., crossing Rte. 134, to Liberty Hall, then left on Old Main St. to Trotting Park Rd. and back to the Ezra H. Baker School in West Dennis where cars will be on display. (Pre-register cars with Penny Bach, Motorcade Chairman, 508-760-4524, and receive a Beach Pass)

Sun., 8/16—White Elephant Sale 10 AM-12 Noon & Lawn Party, 12 Noon – 2 PM, Liberty Hall, S. Dennis.

Sun., 8/16—Old Fashioned Skills Day at Jericho, 11 AM -2 PM, Costumed guides demonstrate the varied skills needed for life in the 1800s. Children’s games, spinning demonstrations, House, Barn w/Tools, and Driftwood Zoo, 1801 Jericho Historical Center, corner of Old Main St. (#90) & Trotting Pk. Rd. Refreshments will be served.

Sun., 8/16—1867 West Dennis Graded School House, 12 N-4 PM, 67 School St., West Dennis, Learn about school life in the 1800s.

Mon., 8/17—Free Concert, Crabgrass, 7-8:30 PM, at the Gazebo in Dennis Village, corner of Old Bass River Rd. and Rte 6A, Dennis.

Tues., 8/18—Small Informal Flower Show “Music of Our Time”, 10 AM-4 PM, at the Josiah Dennis Manse, 77 Nobscussett Rd., Dennis. Visitors will enjoy an assortment of floral arrangements and horticultural displays. Sponsored by the Village Garden Club of Dennis.

Tues., 8/18—Free Concert – 7 PM, David Hickey & Company, One of the Cape’s Favorite Performers, Sponsored by Boudreau Business Center. South Side Civic Association Concert at the Dennisport Village Green, Hall St.,off Rte. 28, Dennisport.

Sat., 8/22—Sand Sculpture Contest, 7-10 AM, Mayflower Beach, Dennis. Rise early to stake out your spot & get your sculpture created. Prizes awarded as tide comes in.

Sat., 8/22—37th Swan River Canoe Race, Registration 11 AM; Race 12 Noon, 5 Lower County Rd., Dennisport. $25 per canoe (includes post race buffet/award ceremony). Sponsored by Swan River Seafood Restaurant – to benefit Hospice of Cape Cod. Rain or Shine. 508-394-4466.

Sat., 8/22—Annual Fair, 10 AM-2 PM, Baked goods, attic treasures, white elephant, jewelry, linens, raffle and more. Lunch served 11:30-1:30 (Chowder, pie, beverage)(bag lunch – children), Parish Hall, Congregational Church of So. Dennis, 218 Old Main St., S. Dennis.
